Lesson in Blogging

Our students learned a bit about blogging today to prepare for the Sharing Cultures, Sharing Knowledge project. The postings created today are not about the cultures they are studying but rather random facts the students were given in order for them to learn the mechanics of posting. Thank you for allowing them the chance to share this information with you. The students typed and published these themselves. Once our project begins, these initial postings will be removed. The students were so engaged and excited today when learning about this project. Mr. Dorken, our Principal, had the opportunity to be a part of our lesson today as well. How exciting for the students! We all hope you will join us in our blogging journey.

Beginning next week, each student will complete a blog log slip with facts and information that they would like to share about their country study with an audience. This fact will be student-edited for spelling and grammar with a partner or a teacher before the actual posting.

Mrs. Ramras and I are excited about the beginning of this project on January 28.
